So i entered this competition this month and they have extended the deadline for entries. I had to pay to submit my work but i think its worth it. Its a pretty big competition and i want to get my name out there. Even if i do not win anything, people will still see my work worldwide, PRICELESS! ZANO SALON AND SPA SHOOT!

So..................a few of my classmates and i worked on a salon shoot for Zano Salon and Spa as part of an assignment for our lighting people class. We had 7 models, makeup artist and wardrobe styling all taken care of. Our job was to go up to Arrowhead country club and shoot them in all their glory. Models were outstanding and outgoing. Mad props to Jamie Philp for hooking it up with the salon and the models. Another thanks to Arrowhead Country Club for giving us free reign of the place, and 2 golf carts! Last but not least, Zano Salon and Spa for doing the awesome hair styling and makeup. Holla

Shooting Jeremy in the studio!

Threw down today with another shoot with my main man Jeremy. Shoot was for portfolio work for both of us. My assistants were Alfonso Monroy behind the video and Tremaine Fletcher as behind the scenes photog. Shoot went awesome today and look forward to working with Jeremy again. Pretty much the same light set up used for my contemporary glamour shoot with Edd only this time shooting tethered to lightroom 3. Enjoy the video and the final shots. Thanks!

Contemporary Glamour!

So for one of my assignments at school i had to shoot white on white contemporary glamour. I know this shot does not scream "glamour" but thats why its "contemporary! Got in the studio today with assistant Alfonso and set up the lights. Pretty simple setup with three heads. Two heads shooting into two books to blow out the background. Beauty shot over head to expose for my model. It was suggested that i use two packs for this shot but i figured the more i can do with one pack, the better it will be when i have two. So the whole shoot took about 30 minutes because im dope like that. I wish i would have shot video for this but i was in a rush. Enjoy!

LET'S TRY THIS AGAIN!

Whats up people! I first like to apologize for falling behind and letting the blog collect dust :( . Been real busy at school, work and at the studio. I guess thats a good problem to have. Sooooooooo, i will definitely kep up with it this time. I have more shoots and ideas lined up for you guys as well as some how-to videos on basic lighting and posing techniques. I will also have behind the scenes footage of up and coming shoots including lighting setups and location scouting. Feel free to spread the word to friends and what not. Enjoy!
